The spring of European projects
The past few months have marked a crucial time for the development of the projects in which ENDISU is involved.
On 8 April, the partners of ESC-tension 2 met in Caen (France) during a key phase in the development of the project core activities. Work Package 3 (WP3), which concerns the development of the “Student Toolbox”, is near completion, whereas Work Package 4 (WP4), focused on integrating the toolbox into the platform, has just begun.
The Student Toolbox is a set of tools designed to raise student awareness about the use of the ESC (European Student Card) and its potential benefits. Each tool explores a specific aspect relevant to using the ESC across the different phases of the university journey (access, participation, and completion).
The Student Toolbox will complete the ESC-tension website (www.esc-tension.eu) with a new section containing all the developed tools. This section will be organized around 15 thematic areas, technically defined as Operational Tools (OTs), and all contents will be available in English, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
The OTs are designed to provide a clear understanding of each topic directly related to the ESC user experience, aiming to increase student awareness of its potential.
During the meeting, a group workshop was held, in which partners actively participated, focused on the development of several OTs to be included in the Student Toolbox.
Project partners will continue working until the final presentation of the Student Toolbox, scheduled for April 2026 during the closing meeting in Italy.
ENDISU is also actively supporting EDU-Home, the Erasmus+ project coordinated by EDUCatt, which aims to develop an online platform for reliable and accessible accommodation searches for mobile individuals within the Higher Education context.
The EDU-Home partners met in Paphos (Cyprus) on 9 May to test the platform functionality and apply the final improvements. The platform is envisioned as a “meeting point” between students, mobile staff, and key actors in the international housing sector.
Work Package 3 (WP3), which focuses on the development of the platform tools and content, will be concluded by the end of May, while Work Package 4 (WP4), involving the pilot implementation of the platform in three universities, is now in its early stages.
The University of Dubrovnik presented the implementation plan for this WP, which also includes the development of training packages for Higher Education Institution staff and specific guidelines for all platform users.
During the meeting, an engaging workshop organized by EDUCatt took place, during which partners formed working groups to actively contribute to the platform testing phase: a comprehensive test of every relevant aspect was carried out to ensure the best possible user experience for mobile individuals and housing providers. The administrative side of the platform was also tested. The platform will be available in English, Italian, Croatian, Greek, and German.
The workshop led to a strong engagement and collaboration among all partners, along with the consolidation of key project milestones.
Partners are now continuing the development activities, which will culminate in May 2026 with the final presentation meeting of the platform hosted by EDUCatt in Italy.
